The Elizabeth Street
Scholarship Fund
Thanking and Rewarding The Nurses of Yale
Apply for a Scholarship
Our Mission
In gratitude for the invaluable work nurses do providing care for their patients, we provide scholarship grants to selected Yale School of Nursing students. Our fund is part of the legacy of Elizabeth Street.
Eligibility
Current Yale School of Nursing students and applicants may apply. Scholarship applicants must demonstrate high academic performance (B+ average, 3.3 GPA, Honors, High Pass, or equivalent ranking), provide school transcripts, and authorize the Elizabeth Street Scholarship Fund to contact Yale School of Nursing on the applicants' behalf.
Benefits/Awards
The Elizabeth Street Scholarship Fund distributes a number of substantial grants each semester to selected recipients. Grant funds are disbursed under the supervision and administration of the Fund’s trustee, Charles L. Kurmay.
How to Apply
To be eligible, prospective recipients must be currently applying or enrolled as students at the Yale School of Nursing who formally apply to the Fund, display strong academic performance, and demonstrate the need for financial assistance.
A Legacy of Gratitude
In thanks to her nurses, Elizabeth chose to endow a trust with one purpose: giving back to nurses like those who made even her most difficult days bearable. Each year, the Elizabeth Street Scholarship Fund selects a number of current and incoming Yale School of Nursing students and pays a portion of their tuition and fees.
